Celestie J. Wood Mabey died Oct. 27 at her home in South Jordan, Utah. Death came as a result of an accidental fall which happened three weeks ago. She was the daughter of Daniel Wood, pioneer of 1847 and founder of Woods Cross, and Emma M. Ellis.
She was born March 7, 1855 at Bountiful, Utah. Married Albert Mabey, of Bountiful May 12, 1873.
In 1884 the family moved to South Jordan which has since been their home. Mr. Mabey died March 27, 1912.
Mrs. Mabey was a life long and active member of the L. D. S. church. In her girlhood she was a member of the Salt Lake Tabernacle choir when it was directed by Prof. George Careless.
She leaves four sons and two daughters: Albert, of Provo; James S., of Magna; Mrs. William E. Newbold, Daniel W., Mrs. Samuel E. Newbold and Walter A., all of South Jordan.
Funeral services will be held in the South Jordan ward chapel Sunday, Oct. 30. at 12:15 p.m. with interment in South Jordan cemetery.
