Scottie Middleton, 27, is a son of Dorcey and Louise Holbrook Middleton.
He was murdered along with 2 other friends (Doug Middleton & Randy Stevens) while out riding ATV's at Tark Hill Caves just out of Olive Hill.
A total stranger to the boys from Ohio that had apparently been camping in the cave for the past weeks stopped the boys as they approached the cave forced them down on their knees in the creek bed and basically executed them, it was said that one of the other two boys tried to escape but was shot down trying to flee.
This was a real shock to the area that something like this would happen here and to this day I don't think there has been a closure to what the man really was doing staying at that cave or if there was another person or person's besides him involved, but he himself was found shot & dead the next day or so to which the investigator claimed he shot himself but others have disagreed on that claim.
All three of these boys were good boys from good family's and they lost their lives for absolutely no reason.
