Services for Charles W. Summers will be held at 10 am Thursday in Bridgeport Community Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery.
Charles Warren Summers, 85, died suddenly Monday at his home in Bridgeport.
He was born April 18, 1874, at Okee, Wis. He grew up there and married Florence Davis at Poynette, Wis., in March 1901. They came to Bridgeport in 1911 where he owned and operated an orchard.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Florence, Bridgeport; three sons, Warren Summers, Seattle, Wallace Summers, Ellensburg; Russell Summers, Washington, DC; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Ham, Bridgeport; and Mrs. David O'Connor, Seattle; one brother, four sisters, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of William Barnes, Brewster.
