Death has again invaded the village of Belvidere and removed a beloved father and one of its oldest and most highly esteemed citizens, John N. House, father of M. M. House.
He died at his residence in Belvidere, Neb., at 4 a.m., on Tuesday, January 31st, 1882. Funeral services were held at the school house at 1 p.m. on February 1st, after which a large concourse of sorrowing friends followed his remains to the cemetery where they were interred by the side of his wife who preceded him to the tomb some three years ago. He has left behind him a life that it will be well to emulate and a record untarnished.
