Lee Andrew Bone was born in Wilson County, Tennessee on February 7, 1824 the son of Andrew McCreary Bone and Lucinda (Moor) Bone. He migrated to Illinois with his family and Lansden, Hill and others about 1830.
On March 19, 1862 Lee married Mary Ann McGuire the daughter of Thomas and Rachel (Ashmore) McGuire in Bethany, Moultrie County, Illinois. They had no children. Mary died December 28, 1863 in Bethany. Lee was discharged from the Civil War and died June 8, 1864. Both Lee and Mary are buried in Marrowbone Cemetery, Bethany, Moultrie County, Illinois.
