A funeral for Opal May Jinks, 90, a Carson City resident since 1988, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Okla.

Mrs. Jinks died Feb. 6, 2000, at Carson Health Care. She was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Roff, Okla., to Walter and Pearl Bowman Cochran.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Roff her entire life.

Mrs. Jinks was a nurse. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Sunshine Baptist Church in Sunshine, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her husband Grady in 1978 and daughter Juanita Cowen in 1999.

Among her survivors are her sons Robert May, Leon May and Raymond May, all of Carson City; daughters Velma Dickerson of Carson City and Barbara Silva of Crows Landing, Calif.; sisters Ruby Ashley of Roff and Bessie O'dell and Bonnie Nix, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Burial will be at Memorial Park of Ada in Ada, Okla.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
