Edna Faye Rountree, age 85, of Waldron, Arkansas, formerly of Mena, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in Waldron.

She was born September 17, 1917 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Floyd Willyerd and the late Cora Blanche Gandy Willyerd.

She was united in marriage to Max Bradley Rountree who was a real estate agent by professions and enjoyed interior designing and fishing as hobbies.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Anyone who met Mrs. Rountree commented on her beautiful, colorful hats she wore all the time, as well as her wonderful personality and sense of humor.

She is survived by one son, Max F. and his wife Teresa Rountree of Edmond,OK., one brother, Jim Willyerd of Huston,Tx; one sister Jean Hasty of Australia; one grandchild, Marky and her husband Mike Young of Arlington,TX; two great-grandchildren, Melody Young and Mayan Young both of Arlington,Tx; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers Wayne Willyerd and Mike Willyerd.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. on Friday May 16, 2003 at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment followed at the Gann Cemetery in Potter under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home in Mena.
