Glen E. Dean, age 80, of Lithopolis, died Monday July 15, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. Born January 5, 1922 in southern Ohio to the late Rev. Edgar B. & Della Mae (Gantz) Dean. He was a 1939 graduate of Coolville High School, and was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. Retired from the Kroger Company, he was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lithopolis. Survived by his wife of 56 years Evelyn, son and daughter-in-law Kenneth Michael & Kathleen Dean, Canal Winchester, daughter and son-in-law Nancy & Alan Fisher, Lithopolis, grandchildren Scott & Tiffany Dean, Dublin, Christopher Dean, Canal Winchester, Lori & Kenneth Edmonds, Amanda, Lindsey Fisher, Lithopolis, mother-in-law Elizabeth Quickel, Lithopolis, step-great-grandchildren Ashley and Brooke, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister Geneva Emma Dean and brother Dwight Gantz Dean. Friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 133 W. South Street, Lithopolis, with Pastor David W. Drewes officiating. Interment Lithopolis Cemetery.
