Mrs. Mary E. Reno, aged 74 years of Chautauqua, N.Y., widow of Henry P. Reno, passed away atthe home of her sister, Mrs. E. L. Ayers of Pulaski, Monday morning, March 19 at 2 o'clock after an illness of heart failure. Mrs. Reno was bornat Bath,N.H., in 1854, a daughter of John andSarah Hey, who later removed to East Brook. Since her marriage in 1881,she and her husband had made their home in Pulaski. After his death, she has been residing at Chautauqua. Mrs. Reno was one of the most prominent and highly esteemed women of Pulaski and community. She had been a life long member of the Methodist church and at the time of her death she was a member of the Methodist church at Chautauqua. She had always been actively interested in Missions and Woman's Christian Temperance Union. She was a graduate of the Chautauqua Literary Scientific Association. She had traveled extensively both in this country and abroad having spent about four years in foreign countries. Mrs. Reno is survived by two brothers, Samuel H. Hey of New Castle and H. T. Hey of Hiawatha, Kan., and one sister, Mrs. Ayers of Pulaski. She also leaves one nephew, Attorney Charles R. Davis of this city whom she raised from childhood. Announcement of funeral will be made later.
