Irene Mae Swartz was the daughter of Peter William and Henrietta Rosetta (Gault) Swartz. Her siblings were Jennie Elizabeth (Stahl) and Claude (twins, Claude passed away at birth), Garrett Everett, Florence Rosetta (Straka), Jewell William, Charlotte Evelyn (McPhail) Letha Fay (Jewell) Swartz and Carl Marion "Lee" Swartz (twins), Hila Mae (Shelley), Peter William II, Henrietta (Pyman) Swartz and Max Byron Swartz. She married Paul I. Erskin about 1934, possibly in Gratiot, Osceola or Genesee Co., MI. Together they had two children, a son and a daughter. Irene passed away at a young age of 28 years, 8 months and 11 days at Reed City Hospital in Reed City, MI after a three day stay due to cancer of the uterus.
