Funeral Services for Billy George Winford, 77, of Sperry, were held on Monday, July 14, 2008 in the First Baptist Church in Sperry.

He was born on July 24, 1930 in Muskogee to Monte Lee and Augusta Estella (Jepson) Winford. He died on July 11, 2008.

The Rev. Andy Anquoe officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Sperry. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.

To know Bill is to know who and what he loved. He loved fishing (especially in Port Aransas); OU football; the farm and all of the cows, ducks, chickens, peacocks, rabbit, and you name it; a good game of cards, anything from Yahtzee to SkipBo to Bridge; the garden, every tree or anything that could possibly be a tree; Boston Terriers (Lady and April); the Fourth of July; family parties; his family; his kids; spoiling his grandkids and great-grandkids; and most of all the light of his life, Kaye, his "Honey" who he fought so long and hard to stay here for, to blow kisses to, to joke with, to laugh with and to love.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Cutter Price and his parents, Monte and Augusta Winford.
