She was the third of 11 children born to William ADAMS & Dorothy L RICHARFSON of NC. When she was just 14 years old. the family moved from Fayette Co., Tennessee to the 'Republic of Texas' near Houston County in 1837.

Sydney Milton ADAMS (1842-1877)
JOHN WILLIAM ADAMS (1844-1912)
Somerville 'Tump' ADAMS(1847-1910)
J. K. P. ADAMS (1853-1866)
Silas B ADAMS (1859-1886)
The first two boys were born in the 'REPUBLIC OF TEXAS' before Texas obtained statehood.
She died Feb. 26th 1876 in Bosque County just months after her husband died. Both are buried in Old Rock Church Cemetery along with her first son, Syndey, who died just one year later.
