BAKER - Marjorie, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday July 21, 2008.

She was a faithful member of Harvard Avenue Baptist Church. Almost immediately after joining the church, she became the teacher of the 3 year old Sunday School class and continued for 17 years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader who was a wonderful example for the girls in all that she did. More recently she was the Outreach Leader and Ministry Leader for the Priscilla Sunday School Class. For many years, she was Head Teller at Sooner Federal until she retired in 1973.

An avid reader, Marjorie read the latest best selling books and was a member of the Chatter Book Club where she enjoyed attending reviews of many popular books. She had quite a creative streak which included painting, writing, flower arranging, and gardening. She was a fabulous cook and made the world's best apple pies from the apple tree in her back yard. Even though computers are very difficult for some at her age, she was able to use the internet to increase her knowledge about a multitude of subjects and kept in touch with family and friends through e mails.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Wayne Baker. She is also survived by: son, Jim Baker of Locust Grove; daughter, Jan Smith (Bill) of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Michelle Hulen, (Heath) and great-grand- daughter, Trinity Hulen of Rosharon, TX and also niece, Cindy Franks (Mike) of Las Vegas, NV.

Marjorie was a very loving and caring person who always wanted to do what she could to help others. She will be missed very much by those who knew and loved her.

Service will be 2 pm, Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 622-1155.
