Son of A. H. Goodpasture and Mary Masters. He was born in Overton Co., TN and moved to the Priceville area, Hart Co.,KY with his parents between 1860 and 1870. By 1880, his parents and siblings had moved to Logan Co., IL. Ford did not go with them, but stayed in KY where he had already married and established his own household. He married Permelia Sims Cave about 1871. They had at least five children: Robert Henry "R.H."(18 Jan 1872-20 Mar 1964), my great-grandfather; Minerva (b. abt 1873); Mary J. (b. 7 Jun 1875); Allice O. (b. abt 1878); and Mack Hamilton (b. 22 Nov 1881-27 Feb 1883).
