Emil Voigt, one of the oldest and best known Germans of this city, died about 9 o'clock this morning, of hemorrhage, at his home, 1500 North Erie street, aged 52 years. Deceased was born in Germany and came to the Belle City nearly thiry-five years ago. By trade he was a blacksmith and was employed at the J L Case T. M. Co., for some twenty years. He was a member and deacon of the St. John's Lutheran church and took great interest in religious affairs. He was a man well liked by his many friends and will be greatly missed. A wife and ten children survive to morn his death. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the house and at 2 o'clock from the St. John's church on Erie street.
