He married Ethel C. Bagley (Hoar) June 19, 1941. She was born may 25, 1901 in East Machias and had first married Inman Bagley in 1920.
Warren died at a hospital in Bangor after a short illness. He had been the janitor at Washington Academy for 45 years, retiring in 1974 and was past master and 50 yr member of the Warren Lodge #2, AF & AM.
He was survived by his wife Ethel, son Merlin and step-son Albert Bagley and step-dau Kathleen. Also survived by four sisters, Blanche L. Ackley of Holmes Bay, Bertha Huntly and Lucy Gardner of Halls Mill and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held in Machias with Spring burial in East Machias.
