Sarah's mother, Martha, was a sister to Rebecca (married to Daniel Boone). She and her family were with Daniel when he came to Tennessee to build the fort near what is known as City Lake near Cookeville.
Sarah was killed by indians July 18, 1866 in Dry Valley, Tennessee at age 95."
