Betty Louise Schmidli (Hillegas) 79 of Klamath, Or passed away on February 17, 1988.
Mrs. Schmidli was born June 18, 1928 in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the eldest child of Roy & Verna Hillegas.
The family soon moved to Lowry City, Missouri.
Mrs. Schmidli attended & graduated from Lowry City High School.
Betty was untied in holy matrimony to Bill Schmidli on June 1, 1947, a year later the happy couple relocated to Malin, Oregon 1948 where they ave spent interim years engaged in agriculture. To this union two daughters & one son was born.
In 1960 they purchased the current family farm where Mrs. Schmidli excelled as a homemaker, gardener & good neighbor.
Mrs. Schmidli joyously embraced the birth of her seven grandchildren. In the recent years her seven grandchildren had become a delightful added joy to her life.
Mrs. Schmidli has left us with the cherished memory of a wife, mother, grandmother, & friend who loved life & lived each day to the fullest.
Mrs. Schmidli was a member of the Malin Presbyterian Church, her devotion to her husband & children, her gift as a homemaker & cooking ranked her second to none.
Mrs. Schmidli is preceded in passing by both parents; brother James Hillegas.
Mrs. Schmidli is survived in passing by a son of Malin, OR.; a daughter of Woodinville, WA.; a daughter of Klamath Falls, OR.; a sister of Independence, MO. & seven grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at Malin Presbyterian Church at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Edward Nevenfwelt officiating. O'Hairs funeral chapel is in charge of arrangements.
