Babette Elizabeth Arthur,
beloved sister, aunt and friend, of Winter Park, FL passed away Tuesday, July 15th, after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and Breast Cancer. Babette died surrounded by her magnificent artwork, her music, her friends and family. Her courage and energy inspired all who witnessed her spirited battle. Babette was born June 1, 1949, in Deland, FL. She was a graduate of Bishop Moore High School, Orlando Junior College, The University of Central Florida and Florida State University. An adjunct professor at UCF, Babette was able to influence many students with her love of Art History. Her study and enthusiasm for her work allowed her to travel throughout the world. She is preceded in death by her parents Donald J. Arthur and Barbara Alice Taylor Arthur. Babette is survived by her sister Diane (Wayne) Kennedy, nephew Russell (Cheryl) Kennedy, nephew Joseph Kennedy, niece Tina Daniels, grandnephew Jeremy, grandnieces Nicole, Ashley, Barbara and her many wonderful friends who came daily to support her and to enjoy her fantastic sense of humor and approach to life. Her family and friends express special appreciation to the staff at Manor Care Nursing Home in Winter Park and to VITAS Hospice for their loving care of Babette as she closed the final chapter of her book.
