Hiram Payne Anderson, Jr.

Hiram Payne Anderson, 74, of Ozark, died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday in St. John's Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Anderson, a lifelong resident of Ozark, was a 53-year member of Friend Masonic Lodge. He was a retired postal department employee and a member of the Springfield VFW post. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ozark.

Surviving are his wife, Beulah; a son, Joe Anderson, Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Rauch, Washington, MO., and Mrs. Bart Higgins, Kirkwood; a brother, Charles Anderson, Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Marie Woods, Rogersville; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Ozark with the Revs. Allen Harrison and Howard Blevins officiating, Burial was in National Cemetery under direction of Adams of Ozark. Masonic Rites at graveside were conducted by Friend Lodge 352 of Ozark.
