Jacqulin Murl Cossey passed away in Sanger, California at the Beverly Living Center (formerly called Sanger Convalescent Hospital) on Wednesday, July 9th, 2008, where she had resided the past 5 years. She was born on May 13, 1934 to the late Burl & Gertie (nee Walker) Alcorn in the Fig Garden area of Fresno, California.

Jacqulin lived her entire life in the San Joaquin Valley, mostly in Orange Cove. She attended various Valley schools, including Reedley High School. Jacqulin married Kenneth "Bud" Loyd on July 4, 1954 in Tijuana, Mexico. They had one daughter, Kathleen. After Kenneth's death in 1967, she married James J. Cossey on May 4, 1973. After her daughter left home, she worked for the County (In Home Supportive Services), cleaning & doing chores for the elderly.

Jacqulin was a true lady. She would not leave her house unless she made sure to have her make-up, hair, and clothing just right. She loved to buy clothes too. I would tease her about needing another blouse, even though we both knew she had plenty, she'd say, "yep, I need to get me another blouse." Jacqulin also loved to collect dolls. When she went shopping, which was another of her favorite past times, she had to look at the dolls. It wouldn't take her long to fall in love with another that she quickly added to her collection.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Max) Moreno of WA; 2 grandsons, Christopher Moreno of Japan & Nicholas Moreno of WA. One brother, Noel J. (Kay) Alcorn of Sierra Vista, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth "Bud" Loyd who died in 1967; husband, James J. Cossey who died in 2005; one infant sister, Mary Elizabeth Alcorn.
