She was born February 6, 1922 in Petersville, Ky, to the late Charles A. and Myrtle Cowan Dietrich. She was a 60 year member of First Christian Church, Portsmouth, Ohio, having served as a deacon for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne (Wilna) Huffman of Wheelersburg, and Mark (Ann) Huffman of Wheelersburg; one daughter, Kathy (Joe) Sisler of Wheelersburg; eight grandchildren, Tim, Amy, Heather, Bethany, Kristi, Matthew, Kellie and Aaron; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Bailey, Brianna, Alexis, Aiden, Kayla, Kali and Jacob; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Milton Huffman, Sept 9, 2007; four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will take place noon Friday, January 18, 2008, at First Christian Church in Portsmouth, with the Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Friends may call Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at Daehler Mortuary Co., in Portsmouth, and one hour before services Friday at the church. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662; the memorial fund at First Christian Church, 843 Third Street, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662, or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
