Born Jan. 18, 1912, in Essex Township, Stark County, to Glenn and Nettie Springer Beall, he married Lena Stratton on Dec. 19, 1935, in Galena. She survives.
Also surviving is one sister, Gladys Riggen of Toulon. Three brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.
A World War II Army veteran, he received the Purple Heart. He was a farmer and trained race horses. He then trained race horses at the Quad City Downs for 10 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wyoming Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Feldman will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery.
