HENNINGTON, JOHNNY W., 87, of Maylene, AL, an accountant, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006, in Alabaster, AL. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Johnny W. Hennington was born May 12, 1919, in Ralls. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army as a radio operator on the front lines with the First Calvary Division ending his tour of duty in in Manila, the Philippines in 1945. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie V. Hennington, in 1998; two sisters; and six brothers. Survivors: Wife, Wilma Hennington; sons, Johnny W. Hennington Jr. and Gary Hennington and wife, Charlotte; grandsons, Todd Hennington and wife, Karen and Jody Hennington; one great-grandson; one stepson; one stepdaughter and their families.
