Alanson Alva Cramer married Chloe M. Robinson in 1857. His parents were Joseph Cramer Jr. and Magealena "Lany" (Blasier) Cramer of Saint Lawrence County, New York, USA.

A. A. Cramer died January 18 at the home of his niece, Mrs. William Gleason in Canton. Mr. Cramer had been in good health but had an attack of grip complicated with the infirmities of old age. Burial was made in the North Russell cemetery Jan 20. He was born in Herkimer county Sept 1, 1830, and in his early life came to St. Lawrence county.

In 1857 he was united in marriage to Chloe Robinson who died in June 1907. Most of his life was spent on his farm near North Russell. He leaves an adopted daughter, Mrs. Sarah Mathews of Canton, a nephew, A. A. Cramer of Pierrepont, and F. D. Cramer of Eddy, NY, a niece, Mrs. V. C. Cotter of Sanford, Fla, nieces and nephews in the West and Mrs. W. Gleason. He was 86 years of age.
