Eminence, Ky., Aug. 26 – Mr. Newton Bright, Sr., one of the wealthiest and best-known farmers living near town, in Shelby county, died at 3 o’clock this morning after an illness of several months, of stomach trouble, in the seventy-third year of his age.
Mr. Bright was a man much loved by his neighbors and friends and severed two terms as a member of the Legislature from Shelby County.
He leaves a widow, one daughter, Mrs. Andy Hudson, and five sons, Charles, Coleman and Newton, Jr., of this place. judge Jeptha Bright, of South Pittsburg, Tenn., and James c. Bright, of Shelbyville.

EMINENCE, Ky., Aug 26, - Mr Newton Bright, Sr., one of the wealthiest and best known farmers living near town, in Shelby county, died at 3 o'clock this morning after an illness of several months, of stomach trouble, in the seventy-third year of his age.
