Caleb, a farmer from Missouri, married first Caroline Hubbard of Ohio with whom he had five children. He married second, Mary Margaret Chambers, and had one son, Charley Elmer Boulware. Caleb is buried next to his first wife at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery, Gridley, CA.

"He settled in the close proximity of what is now the city of Biggs, and farmed up to a few years ago, when he retired. He leaves two sons and three daughters, all married.
"The funeral was held from the H. S. Brink parlors here."
