He was born on May 27, 1934 in Lono, Arkansas to the late William Edwin and Stella Naomi Parsley Brown. Reared and educated in Leola he graduated Leola High School in 1953. Roy was a Baptist and served in the United States Army and National Guard from 1956 until 1964. Roy retired from Anthony Timberlands in 2001 after spending his entire working life in the lumber industry. He was the widower of the late Joyce Miller Brown to whom he was married on December 23, 1958 in Carthage,, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on January 17th of this year.
