Lillie Mae Wells Walker, 97, of 3903 NC Hwy 150 East Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Tuesday November 17, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham, County.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 19, 2015 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late John Edward and Nannie Draper Wells and had lived her entire life in Rockingham County. She was the former head dietician at Williamsburg Elementary School Cafeteria and later retired from Burlington Mills Drapery Plant. A member of Thompsonville Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband: Marion Edward Walker, sons: Lonnie Wayne Walker, and Donnie L. Walker, sisters: Ellen Chapman, Mary Chapman, Rachel Cook, Almada Potter and a special niece Mildred Southard.
Survivors include: sons: J. Arnold Walker and wife Sharon of Reidsville, M. Todd Walker and partner John Weston of Reidsville, NC, daughters: Brenda L. Walker of Reidsville, Ann W. Millsap and husband Mike of Reidsville, daughters-in-law: Joan Walker and Guynell Walker both of Reidsville, sister-in-law: Maggie Walker of Reidsville, nephew: William Chapman and wife Jen of Browns Summit, niece: Linda Gammon and husband Kenny of Reidsville, special friend: Maria Collins of Browns Summit, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff and management at Hospice of Rockingham County for their care and concern throughout Mrs. Walkers illness.
