Private in Capt. Lawrence's Company, 22nd Regiment, U.S. Staff, Mercer Co. PA, Blues. Revolutionary War, War of 1812, & Battle of Lundy's Lane, helped to build Perry's Fleet at Erie, PA. Gov. gave him a land grant of 100 acres for service in the Revolutionary War.
Bought additional 100 acres, built cabin in the center of land. Died of fever while en route home from Erie while serving in the War of 1812. One half of his grave was under a sidewalk in Mercer, PA. In 1906 he was reburied in a private cemetery on the Amos Entheus Ball farm.
