STARKE-A.J. Dugger, 65, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Lake City following a brief illness.
Born in Sanderson, Mr. Dugger had lived most of his life in Starke. He was a hotel manager for 38 years. He was the son of J.E. and Eloise Griffis Pearce. Mr. Dugger was predeceded in death by a brother, James Allen. He was a member of New River New Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Pearce Dugger; a daughter Lisa (David) Hall; two sons, Kevin (Lisa) Dugger and Brian Dugger, all of Starke; a brother, Johnny Pearce of Sanderson; two sisters, Patricia Allen of Starke and Patricia Pearce of Sanderson; four grandchildren, Dustin, Salena, Amanda and David.
Funeral services for Mr. Dugger were held Sunday, July 13, 2008, in the New River New Congregational Methodist Church of Raiford with the Rev. Jimmie Scott and the Rev. Randall Griffis officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery under the care of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler.
