GUEYDAN — Services for Ouida Grace Guillory, 67, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Gueydan with the Rev. Mitchell Guidry officiating. The interment will be in the Abshire Cemetery in rural Crowley. She died at 3 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at the American Legion Hospital of Crowley.
She was born in Gueydan to Paul and Gladys Simon Newman.
Mrs. Guillory was a homemaker. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her spouse, Willis Guillory Jr.; two sons, Keith Bonin (Patti) of DeQuincy and Marty Bonin (Shirley) of Gueydan; two stepsons, Troy Guillory of Scott and Trent Guillory (Danelle) of Gueydan; one daughter, Janet Istre (Luke) of Gueydan; one stepdaughter, Trina Guidry (Cory) of Jennings; a brother, Mervin Paul Newman of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Katie Istre, Nikki and Darci Bonin; eight step-grandchildren, Tresaa and Traven Guidry, Erica Roy, Caleb, Taylor and Zachary Guillory and Jordan and Paige Guillory; and stepgreat-granddaughter, Kylie Scanlan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jerry Bonin; two brothers, Jimmy Newman and Milford Newman; and sister, Ethel Monceaux
Pallbearers include Leo Blackmer, Trent Guillory, Johnny Blackmer, Terry LeBlanc, Thomas LeJeune, Lonnie Newman, Andrew Rizzuto, and Caleb Guillory.
