Clemmie's grave was (or became) unmarked, and a new marker was placed over her in 2006 by Hamrick descendants. Her granddaughter, Olean (Hamrick) Moseley, who grew up in the Liberty community, identified the location of Clemmie's grave which is next to her daughter, Samie Cullars, by her first marriage with George Thomas Cullars, Sr. Samie died 2 years before Clemmie at the age of 33. Olean Hamrick was the daughter of Clemmie and Eli Hamrick's oldest son, Monroe Wood Hamrick, and Olean was 93 years old when she identified the graves of Clemmie, Eli and their infant son. She died 3 years later at age 96. While at Liberty Cemetery with her Hamrick kin and pointing to the graves of their common ancestors, Olean remembered and shared a story, that when walking to first grade every morning she would pass by grandmother Clemmie's house and Clemmie would be waiting by the fence with an apple, a smile, and cheerful greeting and she would place the apple in the pouch of Olean's long bonnet for a school snack. Olean was 8 years old when her grandmother Clemmie died.
