Brewer, Robert Keener

Services for Robert Keener Brewer, 81, Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.

Burial will be in East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown, W.Va.

M. Brewer died July 16, 2008, at a Tyler hospice.

He was born Sept. 27, 1926, in Morgantown, W.Va., to the late Morris and Isabel Brewer, He attended Westover, W.Va., public schools and then served in the Army Occupation Forces in Japan. He attended West Virginia University and worked as a toolmaker in the University Engineering Department. In 1947 he joined Sterling Faucet Co. and was transferred to Tyler in 1957, where he was Work's Manager until 1973 when he founded Brewer's Superior Products. He was a 3rd degree Mason, a life member of Scottish Rite and member of Sharon Temple Shrine Director's Staff.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lillian Stare Brewer, Tyler; sons, Robert, Yacolt, Wash., and Richard, Simi Valley, Calif.; brother, Eugene, Hamlin, W.Va.; and sister, Alice Gooden, Albuquerque, N.M.

Family will receive friends 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
