Fred B. Huntoon was the son of Henry Delos Huntoon and Alma Etta Richmond. He married Catherine Belle Bigelow about 1921 and they had three sons, Lyle, Fred and James. He had been in poor health for over a year when on Wednesday, September 7th, he was suddenly worse and rushed to the University Hospital in Ann Arbor where he passed away before an operation could be performed. The case was diagnosed as tumor of the brain he died at the age of 32 years 6 months and 16 days.
