The 2nd day of May the sprit of Hon.P.A. Lanford departed his body, the end came unexpected to the family. Mr Lanford had been in ill health for some months. Mr.Lanford was a Civic leader and stood for better roads, better schools, better churchs and for better citzenship. He was a member of the Commissioners Court of this county and was ardent and active in his work. He is survived by his wife and one son and other relatives. His body was interred at Rocky Mount Cemetery.
