Sarah Jane Pendleton born 1835 in Caldwell County, Kentucky to John Pendleton and Mary Doss-Pendleton both are also buried at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County, Missouri.

She married first, November 16, 1848 to Zachariah Dunning, son of Naum Dunning and Mary "Polly" Huey-Dunning-West.

Zachariah died in 1857 in Lawrence County and his estate was probated and letters were granted on December 25, 1857 (Box 6 No. 158). Sarah and her five children lived with her parents until her second marriage in Lawrence County. She was married by Justice of the Peace, J.C. Jennings, on September 20, 1860, to Benjamin J. Reynolds (Book ABC, Page 235). However, she was a widow again by 1870 US Census and living in the Turnback Township. In 1880, she was living in Aurora Township with her daughter, Mary Dunning-Durham. She and Zachariah had five children, and she and Benjamin had one daughter; all were born in Lawrence County, Missouri.

Two Pendleton's married into the Dunning family, Sarah Jane and William Monroe Pendleton married Nancy Anney Dunning - daughter of Naum Dunning and Mary "Polly"Huey-Dunning-West.

They are together in death as life at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawrence County, Missouri.
