LOCAL RESIDENT DIES IN CRASH

Ferdinand Glasscock Killed When Cars Collide On Victorville Road

Ferdinand Glasscock, 71, father of Arthur and W. A. Glasscock of 4442 Woodman Avenue, Van Nuys, met death last night In a traffic accident near Victorville, while returning to his home here after a visit with relatives in the east. Announcement of his death was received in Van Nuys this morning from the coroner's office at San Bernardino. According to reports from the sheriff's office at San Bernardino, the aged man was traveling alone and is believed to have been asleep at the wheel of his car when a collision occurred. Following a coroner's inquest today, the remains will be brought to the Van Nuys funeral parlors where funeral arrangements will be announced later. The deceased is survived by his two sons here, three sons in Kansas City, Mrs. Tony Parisi, a daughter living in Los Angeles, and a daughter residing in Iowa. Funeral services for Ferdinand Glasscock, 71, father of W.A. Glasscock of 4442 Woodman Ave, were held from the Van Nuys Funeral Parlors at 2 p. m. yesterday. Rev. Farquharson of the Presbyterian church officiated at the service and burial was in Oakwood cemetery.
