James Alexander Arbogast born November 2, 1918 was the fourth son of Arthur Arbogast and Teresa Dougher. He was educated in local schools.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 3, 1943 during WW2. In 1948 he joined the staff of Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, W.V. as a military instructor. In 1952 he was an ROTC instructor before being assigned to the Far East Command (Korean War). He was discharged from the Army on November 19, 1954.
He married Veronica Jastremsk. They had four children.
He was assistant manager at the Greenbrier Hotel and also served as Magistrate in Greenbrier County.
He died March 15, 1986 and was buried March 17, 1986.
