Lillian G. Duby 1929 - 2008 PITTSFIELD Lillian Gertrude "Peanut" Duby, 79, of Hillcrest Commons, formerly of 21 Navajo Drive, North Adams, died Sunday, July 13, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on May 6, 1929, daughter of Vincent and Lillian M. Moffett Duby, she was a graduate of Lee High School. She attended the former LeBarron Hairdressing School. Mrs. Duby was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and playing pitch. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and the New England Patriots. Her former husband, Carl S. Winters, predeceased her. She leaves three sons, Carl S. Winters II and Nelson E. Winters III and his wife, Beverly, all of Pittsfield, and Joseph M. Winters and his wife, Kimberley, of Swansboro, N.C.; two daughters, Fonda M. Furey and Dawn D. Winters, both of Pittsfield; two brothers, John Duby and his wife, Josephine, of Lenox Dale, and Vincent Duby and his wife, Susan, of New Bern, N.C.; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Duby, and by two sisters, Julia Standard and Ruth Brush. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Lillian G. "Peanut" Duby, who died July 13, 2008, will be Thursday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, officiating. Calling hours will precede the service, beginning at 10. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs Duby may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St.
