He married first Sarah Whitney Sparhawk in died in 1842. She is supposed to be buried at Cottage Grove, but remains weren't found. He married Margaret Hawkins in 1846.
Children of Thomas and Sarah were: John James, died in childhood; William O born 9/8/1839 who married Sidney THurston in 1866, and Thomas born 11/26/1841 who married Lunch M. Buckner in 1870.
