Doris was the daughter of Frank Abraham Edinger and Mary Fleming Edinger. She lived in Trenton and Phillipsburg, Warren Co., New Jersey during childhood.
She married Kenneth Burroughs Shoudt in 1947. They had two daughters.
After her marriage, Doris resided in Riegelsville, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania for many years, later moving to Largo, Pinellas Co., Florida.
She was the grandmother of four as of mid-2008.
