Thomas S. Kyger, 80 years old, a native and life-long resident of Callaway County, died at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday
morning at his home in New Bloomfield. He had been in failing health for several years but had been seriously ill only the last few weeks. A funeral service will be conducted at the home in New Bloomfield at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon by the Rev. R.A. Cole of New Bloomfield and burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, one and a half miles west of New Bloomfield.
Mr Kyger was born August 18, 1850 on a farm west of New Bloomfield and he had lived in this county all his life where he followed the occupation of farmer and live stock man. Mr. Kyger was married twice. The first wife was Miss Martha Jones and to this union, one daughter was born. Mrs. Cole Kyger, west of New Bloomfield. He was married a second time to Miss Allie Parsons, who survives. In addition, Mr. Kyger leaves two brothers, David Kyger and Peter Kyger, of near Guthrie and one sister, Miss Annie Kyger, west of new Bloomfield. Mr. Kyger was a membr of Dry Fork Baptist church west of Guthrie.
