Mrs. Katie Sue Roper, 85, died today at a local hospital. Funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. B.J. Carter officiating, with burial in Decatur Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Eulala Ryan, Mrs. Melvin Oliver, both of Decatur, Mrs. C.E. Winton, Mrs. Lahoma Culver, both of Falkville, Mrs. Herman Lambert, Hopewell, Va; two step-daughters, Mrs. E.C. Hendon, Decatur, Mrs. Alvis Briscoe, Florette; three stepsons, A.G. Roper, Decatur, Julian Roper, Sheffield, Luther Roper, Birmingham; 15 grandchildren 30 great-grandchildren a great-great-grandchild.
