Funeral services for Mrs. Martha E. Cartwright, 85, who died Wednesday night, January 4th, at her home at 1010 West Main Street, were conducted Friday afternoon, January 6th, at Morgan's Funeral Home by Rev. H. G. M. Hatler and Rev. W. B. Ladd.
Burial was in the White Sulphur Cemetery, Caldwell County, Ky.
Mrs. Cartwright was born September 5th 1870, the daughter of the late William and Matilda Robinson Coleman. She was a lifelong resident of Caldwell County and had been a member of the Baptist Church since childhood.
She was married to the late William Francis Cartwright, who preceded her in death on February 3rd, 1919. Seven children were born to this union, six of whom survive.
Survivors include two sons, Glen Cartwright, of Princeton and Carmon Cartwright, of Bowling green; four daughters, Mrs. H. W. Pilaut, Mrs. charles Young, Mrs. K. B. Jacob and Miss Louvenia Cartwright, all of Princeton; a step-mother, Mrs. Mary E. Coleman; a brother, Jessie Coleman; a half-brother, Robert Coleman; three sisters, Mrs. G. M. Traylor, Mrs. Lula Poindexter and Mrs. Birchie Pidcock; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
Barriers were Billie G. Cartwright, Hewlett Young, Charles Pool, Al Huddleston, Logan Lowery Jr. and Jim Morgan.
