Sara B. Johnston, 77, of San Angelo passed away at 8:40 am Sunday, Jan. 14, 1996, in Angelo Community Hospital.
Graveside service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Smith, pastor of Word of Life Assembly of God, officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
Sara was born Feb 24, 1918, in Bell County to Josh and Charlie Kennedy.
She had been a resident of San Angelo since 1962. She retired in 1985 as a cafeteria manager with the San Angelo Independent School District.
Sara was married to Doyle Johnston on Dec 7, 1935, in The Grove. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1981.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlyne Glascock and husband, Jack, of San Angelo; two sons, Kenney Johnston and wife, Margaret, of San Angelo and Mike Johnston and wife, Donna, of San Angelo; one sister, Estelle Carberry and husband, Bonnie, of Moody; one brother, Billy Kennedy and wife, Lois, of Arlington; seven grandchildren, Randy Armor, Bob Armor and wife, Jamie, Becky Armor, Todd Johnston and wife, Susan, Michael and Jennifer Johnston, and Kim Jordon; nine great-grandchildren, Kevin and Kelly Turner, Ashley, Talon and Kaitlyn Armor, Jennifer and Casey Armor, Courtney Johnston and Justin Jordan; and several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
