Mrs. Vaughn was born April 4, 1900 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of Tom and Samantha Elliott Redwine. She married Fred Adkins in Kentucky. He died on Aug. 30, 1951. She then married George D. Vaughn in Paxton. He died on May 10, 1978. A son, four brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Eilene Loeschen; two brothers, Charles Redwine and Bill Redwine; three sisters, Norma King, Ina Faux and Met Ketchum; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Vaughn lived most of her life in Gibson City. She formerly was of Portsmuth, Ohio. She was a member of Gibson City's senior citizen group.
