Death this morning called Mrs. R. A. Alford, an old resident of the community, at the family home 536 Conger avenue. Her death resulted from a heart ailment. Although she had suffered with the disease for several years she had not been bedridden until yesterday when an acute attack came on.
She is survived by her husband and two sons, A.C. and L.R. Alford, of Fresno, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. W.E. Dean and Mrs.J.J. Murphy of Ashland, three brothers, William Neil of Douglas county, Claybourne Neil of Eugene, and Robert Neil of Ashland. Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Murphy are expected to arrive here tonight and the sons from Fresno will be here tomorrow night for the funeral which will be held here.
Mrs. Jennie Alford was born in Jackson county, October 26, 1856. She had been a resident of Klamath county for six years. She was an active member of Eastern Star and Rebekah Chapter. In her religious faith she early affiliated with the Methodist church and she followed the precepts of the faither devoutly. A loveable, refined, loyal and devoted woman, her sudden death will be a blow to the community.

Jennie's mother: Louisa Calvina Gibson born 1824 in Virginia died April 2, 1880 in Oregon.

Aged 63 years 8 months and 4 days, angina pectoris, fatty degeneration of heart.
