20 July 1903: Daniel Wirt, aged 70 years, of 442 North Twelfth Street, died Saturday evening at 3 o'clock, the cause of death being paralysis. He was taken sick on July 1 and on July 9 had a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Wirt moved to this city from Dauphin County in 1882 and was engaged in the manufacture of medicines. He was a faithful member of Salem U. B. Church and at all services could be seen taking a deep interest in religious services. He is survived by his wife and six children as follows: Charles, residing on Twelfth Street; Aaron P., South Alley; James E., Twelfth Street; Mrs. William Schreffler, Sixth Street; Mrs. Grant Bright, Harrisburg, and Mrs. Henning, residing at home.
