GULFPORT --- Dona Christine "Chris" Armstrong Ayers, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Ayers was a native of Woolmarket. She had been a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio for 30 years and moved to the Gulf Coast in 1976. She was a graduate of Woolmarket High School and New Biloxi Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Coalville United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin V. "Lew" Ayers; and a daughter, Patricia Ayers Moxey.
Survivors include three sons, Marvin V. Ayers Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio, James A. Ayers of Bangkok, Thailand, and Ralph A. Ayers of Layton, Utah; a daughter, Dona L. Brock of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Coalville United Methodist Church where friends may call an hour before service time. Burial will be in Coalville Cemetery. Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Ave., Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
The family prefers memorials to Coalville United Methodist Church.
